ABSTRACT
The paper evaluates the usability of the model describing stress distribution in the soil, inside the soil wheel track centre. The first part deals with identification of the existing models described in subject literature, relative to the phenomenon of stress distribution in the soil. Moreover, it shows the comparison between the most adequate model and the model elaborated by the author. The stresses were calculated on the basis of the aforementioned models and the results were compared with the results of measurement conducted in laboratory conditions and during the field tests.
