The article presents results of wear tests of modelled elements in friction nodes. Using heat and thermochemical treatment, the condition of surface layers in samples has been modified, and alternative properties of surface layer, characteristic for different treatments, have been arrived at. Then, the samples were put to abrasive and corrosive tests.
