ABSTRACT
Global positioning system (GPS) involves a great notice in agriculture, opening the road to realisation of the precision agriculture. There is a great need to know all the possibilities and boundaries of the systems offered on the market. In this article the short overview of the results of field tests of some commonly applied in agriculture GPS receivers is described, as well as the own research results of stationary and dynamic tests of the selected receiver, which taking into account its good technical parameters and low price has the chance to be widely applied in Polish agriculture.
