The paper presents the results of simulation and laboratory tests aimed at clarifying the impact of such factors as air velocity, the length and configuration of pneumatic seed tube on the transportation scattering time and average speed of movement of grain. The simulative studies concerned idealized granular material, whereas the laboratory studies were conducted on rape seed. The hypothesis that at higher speeds the air transport scattering time is smaller was confirmed, that may have a beneficial effect on the uniformity of seeding.
