The main objective of this research project was to assess the state of technical equipment of agricultural farms from the point of view of Poland's integration with the European Union. In addition, the author also assessed the participation of instruments of agricultural support in the purchase process of agricultural machines. The investigations were conducted in 2008 in farms situated in the region of Wielkopolska. The structure of technical equipment in examined farms was dominated by machines for transfer and transport (23%), cultivation machines as well (19%) as agricultural tractors (19%). In the case of the examined farms, levels of support instruments in expenditures for agricultural machine purchases after 2002 amounted to 61%.
