ABSTRACT
Selected stages of realization of construction optimization process are presented in the article. To optimize the construction the computer system I-DEAS was used. By means of it a solid model of gate device of permissible total mass 3,5 ton was built. The calculations were carried out using the Finite Element Method (FEM). The carried out strength analysis showed that the permissible stress limit has been exceeded. To improve the tested construction the thickness of loading frame walls was increased by 1 mm. To optimize the whole construction some other changes were also introduced.
