Energy evaluation of the conventional and ecological potato cultivation technology

ABSTRACT
The research concerning the above mentioned issue was conducted in 2002-2004 in a conventional and ecological farm. The input of the accumulated energy for potato cultivation was from 39442 MJ-ha-1 in the conventional farm, to 27294,5 MJ-ha-1 in the ecological one. In the ecological farm, higher outlays of accumulated energy were borne included in aggregates and fuel. In the conventional farm, higher outlays of accumulated energy were borne included in the materials used for the production. From among the operations performed in the conventional and ecological farm, the harvest work proved the most energy-consuming. The energy efficiency ratio in the conventional farm was 2,2 and 1,9 in the ecological one.
