Identyfication of quasi-statical triticale corn stalk cutting force in order to design the scissors-fingers cutting tools

ABSTRACT
In the paper was presented research results of corn stalk quasi-statical cutting force. Investigations were made on fatigue-testing machine called INSTRON 8501. Research results proved that level of cutting force almost linearly decreases along with cutting angle increase. The cutting angle (angle between knife and corn symmetry axis) was changed in range from 0 to 15°. In that case should be done research which would give answer if decrease of cutting force is also connected with cutting angle when using scissors-fingers cutting tool (cutting many stalks of corn at the same time). Range of cutting angle changing in research is possible to achieve during normal work of scissors-fingers cutting tool.
