The paper presents a mathematical model, which may be used for analysing the behaviour of tractor - agricultural machine combinations at the preliminary design stages. It is a 2D (flat) three-wheeled model based on the so called bicycle models (two-wheeled) that are often referred to in the literature. The model has been applied to a tractor - potato planter combination. Obtained results enable to estimate influence of tractor - potato planter combination parameters on its behaviour on the road.
