ABSTRACT

The experiment was carried out in the years 2005-2007 at two places: Jadwisin and Osiny where potatoes were grown on two different types of soil: light and heavier one. Eight potato cultivars from different earliness were tested. Significant differences concerning yield and tuber quality depending on crop production system, type of soil, cultivars and climatic conditions during vegetation period were found. It was stated, that very early cultivars are less suitable to organic system on heavier soils than later ones. Ordering of cultivars for two crop production systems: organic and integrated in relation to soil type was done.
