Evaluation of rolling bearings elements surface layer state changes by means of Barkhausen noise

ABSTRACT
In this paper the possibilities of exploitational surface layer state changes observation by means of Barkhausen phenomenon was presented. Rollers from bearings NU309 were tested. During investigation the rollers worked under contact load until pitting. Periodically the magnetoelastic parameter MP was measured. The results of experiment show that work of bearings elements produces change of MP value of surface layer.
