New technologies and means of mechanization of plants protection are briefly considered, allowing to improve quality of treatment of agricultural crops. It is essential to reduce dozes of entering chemical liquid and by that to reduce environmental contamination. The best perspective for today is application of volumetric sprayers, on basis of which principle of action of compulsory delivery of drops of working liquid to target objects is carried out by powerful air stream. In the article the basic advantages of volumetric spraying in comparison with traditional spraying and the newest technologies of spraying are considered. Also calculations of economic purposefulness and efficiency of use of a volumetric sprayer are presented.
