ABSTRACT
The results of the investigation conducted between October 2005 and May 2007 concerning price premiums of organic vegetables were presented in the elaboration. Generally price premiums were rather high and very often they reached the level of 100%. The highest premiums occurred in vegetables of relatively low price, available in domestic supply all year long (onions, carrots, beetroots, potatoes) as well as those ones which were characterized by periodical deficits (cucumbers, tomatoes). The main reasons for such high price premiums were indicated in the article.
