Level and diversification of organic food assortment offer in specialistic chain

ABSTRACT
The results of research conducted among 54 specialistic distributors of organic food (9 wholesalers and 54 retailers) were presented in the paper. The size and width of the offered assortment of organic food were discussed. The authors also were concentrated on internal and external factors conditioning accessibility improvement and greater diversification of the organics in the investigated units. The results of the conducted research indicate that growth of organics assortment offer requires both financial and organizational effort. It is necessary to increase the number of distributors engaged in sale of organic food, as well as improvement of the equipment used in specialist units, growth of producers offer and market demand increase.
