ABSTRACT
This work presents the properties of nickel based superalloy HAYNES 282 (H282), its commercial properties and applications in high temperature environment. This alloy is usually used after working processing and machining. The Foundry Research Institute performs research work to adapt this alloy for casting. Among many problems associated with this subject, the very important one is to prepare correct casting technology for this alloy. The use of computer simulation requires information on thermophysical data of the alloy. There is lack of some properties data at temperature above 1000oC and there is no possibility to perform such studies in the country. That is the reason to use castability trial in inverse analysis for determining the desired properties. The verification of casting simulation was performed by casting of simple geometry details.
