Computer system for the simulation of the heat transfer in a stone regenerator

ABSTRACT
The research of the heat exchange in the stone regenerator with a randomised substrate bed and a stochastic temperature of the environment, leading to identification of the characteristics of random physical values describing that process is practically impossible to conduct without a dedicated computer system. The basis for the construction of this comfortable and, at the same time, essential research tool was the original mathematical model created with the use of deductive inference and taking into account the conditioning mentioned above and the irregularity of the air flow through the bed recognised earlier. The computer system presented by the authors was created according to the rules of software engineering and using graphic notation UML 2.0 in the modelling process. It is also worth noting the fact of partly imaging the methodology of further research in the application, the conducting of which had to have been preceded by the process of the test application and the empirical verification of the model.
