In the years 1999-2012 there was observed a dynamic development of organic farming in the world. Research on this system of management consisted in analysis of its quantitative traits, such as: number of farms, as well as size and structure of farm area – on all continents. The material for research originated from secondary sources – international statistics data by World Organic Agriculture 2012. Collected material was subjected to statistical analysis, as well as to economic vertical and comparative analysis. Obtained research results indicate increasing tendency involving alterations in organic farming in the world. The mentioned trends, expressed by mathematical formula, can become the basis for long – term economic forecasts.
