ABSTRACT
The paper presents the comparison of the values of the area of contact surface and unit pressure of exerted onto soil by wheels of agricultural vehicles, calculated with the help of some chosen mathematical models, with results of experimental investigations. The conducted analyses showed the agreement of majority of mathematical models with results of executed investigations. In the case of some models essential differences in relation to results obtained in field investigations were identified.
