The size of agricultural holdings and the opinions of the owners of the need and form of transport service

ABSTRACT
The aim of the study was to determine the preferences of farmers for the various forms of transport service of farms of different sizes. The scope consisted of 166 holdings of Małopolskie voivodeship of different size and direction of the production. Nearly 60% of farmers answered in interview that transport services are needed. At present, on average, 48.80% make use of services and this quantity is growing with the increase of the surface. Generally, 44.56% of farmers see a combination of transport service with commercial activities (the smallest 36.07% and the largest 59.11%).
