ABSTRACT
Some functional properties of organic food in this work were presented. Not only is organic food of high quality, it is also perceived by the consumers as safer and tastier than conventional food. There are some investigations which explain, that organic food, especially organic fruits and vegetables, may contain much more substances determining its functional properties as bioactive substances (flawonoids, anthocyanins), vitamins and mineral compounds in comparison to conventional ones.
