In this paper was presented one of the possibilities of separation ability increase on finger hump in potatoes harvesting machines. The result was attained by modernization (use of cam mechanism to shake the working surface area) of finger hump. The influence of kinematic parameters of cam mechanism on efficiency of finger hump separation were considered. The laboratory and field study confirmed the legitimacy of working hypothesis. It was stated that working speed of surface area of finger hump and amplitude of shakes has the significant influence on quality of separation of solid soil.
