ABSTRACT
The paper presents results of studies on the conditioning treatments of plant materials and their mixctures upon the capacity losses, represented by the amount of fines in pellets. It was confirmed for the majority of materials under the study, that steam conditioning in comparison to the simple conditioning with water addition, decreased amounts offines. The averages values ranged from 2,03 to 4,12% for steam conditioning, and from 1,2 to 19,8% for water addition. The lowest percentage of fines was noticed for lucerne and the highest for oats.
