The influence of seed dressing with different concentration of cinnamon oil and tea tree oil on field emergence and yield of parsley var. Berlinska and lettuce var. Ewelina was examined. Cinnamon oil decreased lettuce and parsley field emergence. The most toxic was 15 % concentration. Tee tree oil didn't show toxicity and in 55 and 70% concentrations increased field emergence ability, especially in lettuce. Similar relation was for speed and spread of emergence. Plant oils used in experiment showed plant protective effect - number of plants during the harvest was higher than for not treated control (55 and 70% tee tree oil) or equal to the control, despite of lower emergence ability (5 and 10% cinnamon oil). Only 15% cinnamon oil caused the decrease in number of plants for both species. All concentrations of tee tree oil increased yield of parsley but had no influence on the yield of lettuce.
