The research conducted into soil cultivation has resulted in the development of new technologies mainly comprising in the exclusion of plough and shallowing the cultivation depth. A comparative research into two soil cultivation technologies has been conducted - one-layer cultivation (plough) and two-layer cultivation (in one operational drive-through) on various working depth scales and in various positions in order to determine work quality and energy consumption indices for cultivation. The research determined work quality and energy consumption indices for two-layer cultivation and deep plough. It has been proven that a tooth-plate plough shows better indices of work quality and at a comparative working depth it shows lower energy consumption indices at soil cultivation.
